RE-ACS GAS SAFETY TRAINING & CCN1 RE-ASSESSMENT

This course is aimed at those already in possession of relevant ACS Gas CCN1 qualification and are looking to update and refresh their gas knowledge and skills prior to the ACS assessment.

It is recommended that each operative is familiar with the course content and if required, a suitable BPEC ‘Gas Safety Learning Manual’ can be utilised as a learning tool, prior to attendance on the course.

The course content covers domestic gas supply systems and appliances including:

  • Gas Legislation and Regulations
  • Gas Meter types including Medium pressure
  • Checking and/or Setting Meter Regulators
  • Installation of Pipework, fault finding & soundness testing
  • Purge volumes, purging methods, calculations and procedures
  • Identifying, checking and testing positive pressure appliances
  • Burner Pressures and Gas Rates
  • Operation and Checking of Appliance Gas Safety Devices and Controls
  • Flue Standards, Fault finding, Ventilation, Flue & Spillage Testing
  • Combustion performance analysis (CPA1)
  • Identification of Unsafe Situations

For Re-assessment candidates: Must be able to provide a current ACS Core/appliance/element certificate.

Expiry dates: ACS 'Re-assessments' can be undertaken up to 6 months prior to the current expiry date without any loss of time.

CPA1: CPA1 (Combustion Performance Analysis) is now an integrated element of the CCN1 Core Gas Safety assessment.
